Both sites have working but embryonic link profiles — the structure is right (each landed a handful of legitimate directory / community links), but neither has remotely enough authority to compete. readytab.cloud has pulled ahead on raw links (60 vs dropclips' 11) yet is weighed down by ~20 identical spam-PBN links that add no ranking value and carry risk. dropclips.io is tiny but clean. Both are 100–1000× behind their categories' leaders on referring domains, so the realistic goal is a solid mid-tier link base, not catching VEED or start.me.

readytab.cloud has been live longer and has more total links, but a large share are low-quality. Its legitimate, valuable links come from: toolradar.com (24 links, largely nofollow), postyourstartup.co, extensionauditor.com, stackscope.dev, and chrome-stats.com.
dropclips.io launched more recently and has far fewer links, but nearly all are clean and relevant to a dev/SaaS audience: sideprojects.net, shipyardhq.dev, navs.site, scoutforge.net, anyfp.com, and showmysites.com.
~20 of readytab's 30 referring domains are an identical spam-PBN block. Every one carries the same anchor text — “High Quality Dofollow Backlinks DA 50 PA” — and links in from spam blogs (sahammurah.com, mediaboooster.com, techbumppy.com, theforbestimes.com, betwinnermirror.com, etc.). A footprint like that is exactly what Google's link-spam systems are built to catch. It will not improve rankings, and a future manual-disavow or algorithmic action is a real risk.
These appear to be the output of an automatated “DA50 dofollow” link-buying service — nobody links organically in batches of 20 with that anchor. Recommendation: leave them alone, do not buy more, and be ready to disavow (painfully, dropclips is fine — don't disavow). The same pattern does not appear on dropclips.io, whose only borderline links (kaila.biz, gunghapcafe.com) are stray directory scraps rather than a coordinated block.
Backlink-intersection analysis (domains linking to both you and a competitor) returned nothing — profiles are too thin to overlap. Competitors were therefore determined on market grounds and compared by domain-level link authority.

The honest read: catching kapwing (26,000+ referring domains) is a multi-year, content-led effort. But momentumdash and infinitynewtab for readytab, and an achievable slice for dropclips — these extension / indie-SaaS profiles (1,000–2,500 referring domains) are the realistic target. Both your sites already rank favourably on the tools that publish them; the work is volume and cleanliness.
Each site already earns the single most valuable type of early link: listed in a curated directory or community that real people browse. Those are the links that survive algorithm updates and can be built on. The profiles are not junk in origin — readytab just needs the spam stripped, dropclips needs volume.
Priority for both: (1) stop or disavow paid “dofollow DA50” services — readytab only; (2) submit to the 5–10 free directories listed (individually relevant ones, not blanket link farms); (3) run one Product Hunt launch (readytab) and one Show HN / IndieHackers post (dropclips). That sequence alone takes readytab toward 150+ referring domains and dropclips past 40–60, which is the difference between "unindexed side project" and "credible indie SaaS".
Tools: Live DataForSEO Backlinks API (summaries, referring domains, and individual backlinks for both domains) plus competitor domain-link summaries for the six closest competitors. All figures are pulled on October 8, 2026 and are exact API values, not estimates.
Verified: Referring-domain and link-level lists were read directly from the API for both sites; spam-homepage anchors ("High Quality Dofollow Backlinks DA 50 PA") were verified across 20 readytab referring domains. Competitor sets are market-derived because profile-intersection analysis returned no overlap at current size.
